Jennifer Sen

Jennifer Sen’s musical story starts the way so many great Southern tales do: in a small church, behind a well-worn piano, learning to play by ear long before she ever learned to read sheet music. Sunday evenings became her first stage, and the sanctuary became the place where she discovered the power of music to lift a room and steady a soul.

College brought country bands and cowboy boots, and Jennifer dove headfirst into the Garth Brooks era—playing keys and singing her heart out.  Somewhere in the 90s she took a wild left turn and joined The Soul Crackers, a 10-piece soul and funk band with a 5-piece horn section and enough groove to make James Brown raise an eyebrow. Jennifer held it down on vocals and keys, proving that yes, you can go from country to soul music without missing a beat.

As a proud military spouse, Jennifer has moved more times than a touring band—and in every city, she’s found a church, plugged in, and led worship like she’s lived there forever. From youth bands with more enthusiasm than rhythm to Sunday mornings filled with heartfelt harmonies, she’s built a musical community wherever the military sent the family.

These days, Jennifer’s music life looks a little different. She’s traded most of the late-night gigs for singing along with the radio, harmonizing with whatever song is rolling through the speakers. As a recent addition to the band 20 West, whether she’s behind a piano or holding a mic, Jennifer carries the same spirit she started with: faith, fun, and a love for music that never really lets go.
