Teresa Denny

Teresa Denney (or Tee to friends) was born in Ft Leonardwood, MO, where her dad was stationed while serving in the Air Force. Her mother, Maria, is from Spain where Teresa ended up at age 5, giving her the opportunity to grow up there and experience the beautiful Spanish culture. She grew up with Spanish and American friends so had the best of both worlds.

Her daddy, hailing from Gypsy, Kentucky was very musically inclined and played anything with strings on it. He mainly played along to bluegrass and country music so Teresa grew up listening to musicians like Marty Robbins, Flatt and Scruggs and Emmy Lou Harris to name a few. When she was 13, her family moved to Ohio for a year, and that’s when she discovered her true love, what they now call “classic” rock. Bad Company, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac and the list goes on.

As she grew into her teens and back in Spain, her taste turned to bands like The Police, Supertramp, and The Rolling Stones, which were big in Europe at the time. She attended Torrejon High School on the American Air Force base and joined the choir where she discovered her love for singing. After graduating high school, she moved to Florida to attend college in Tampa and was introduced to R&B by Prince, Lionel Richie, Michael and Janet Jackson, and Chaka Kahn. It was a whole new musical world to experience!

She returned to Spain and married into the Air Force which gave her the opportunity to travel to Germany and from there, all over Europe. She began her civil service career in Spain and it spanned 30 years, ending up in Florida and retiring as the 53rd Wing Budget Officer. Teresa has always loved to sing and is the queen of karaoke. You may also see her riding her Harley around town, another love her daddy instilled in her. She got her first Harley at the age of 28 and has been riding since. She’s now retired with 3 grown sons, loving life in the Niceville area with her husband and two dogs and works as a realtor. She also volunteers with the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoys helping her community, especially if it has anything to do with dogs! She considers herself lucky to be, along with her drummer husband, a part of this wonderful band and be able to sing her forever favorite genre, classic rock!
